"So, You Think you want to Compete!"

If you are preparing for 2008 competitions, this class is invaluable!  A conversation, demonstration, and physical instruction into what it takes to "get there".  Find out what the true "win" is in competition.  Zaina is a multi-award winning performer who competed heaviliy for a number of years and holds numerous titles. As well, she continues to participate at various levels at other competitions - Judge, Guest Performer, Emcee and Workshop Instructor.  Her approach to competition encompasses all aspects of the competition stage.  You will learn what to look for in competitions, how to approach the categories available, how to find and understand what you are being "scored" on, what the judges and audience are looking for (not always the same). Remember, rules are different, competition to competition, make sure you know what they are, and so much more.  Zaina will cover costume, makeup, technique, personality, and what is POSTURE doing on score sheets?

This workshop is availalbe in two separate opportunities:  One evening session and one Saturday session - 2 hours each.   This is a comprehensive workshop series taught by a performer who has seen and covered all the bases.  A Teacher's Teacher, Dance Mentor and Coach - Zaina Hart.

Zaina currently is a coach to young women participating in Beauty Pageants,
and coach and mentor to many "Belly Dancers" across the US.
