Zaina's Zany Two Day Intensive
at Zaina's House of Dance in Vancouver, WA
(directions given after attendance confirmation)

Day One - Saturday, May 17th Begins in ernest at 9:30 am - with warm ups

Z-Stylization from the Hart (1 Hour)
The first and most important piece of Zaina's unique style is
"stylizing the body - out of the box".

Z-Basics (1.5 Hour)
The basic structure of Zaina's style - the core movements and steps
that start the show.

Lunch - Lite - 12:30 - 1:30pm

Z-Drill Instructor (1.5 Hour) - 1:30 - 3:00
The third piece Z-drill - the drills that make movement second nature so that there is less "thought" at the
moment and more "feel" of movement.

Hip Articulation (1.5 Hour) 3:30 - 5:00
Learn how to talk with your hips, and I don't mean the alphabet.
Learn Zaina's entire vocabulary.

Rest and Recoup - Barbeque and Potluck starts at 6:30pm-ISH (best dessert wins a prize)
-with an evening show at Zaina's House of Dance - All participants may perform if they would like - a pajama party
follows. (Out of Town Guests welcome to spend the night - plenty of room in the studio and living room -
wear your wildest PJ's and win a prize).

Day Two, Sunday May 18th

Breakfast and Recoup from the Pajama Party

1/2 hour warm up during discussion and conversation about music
interpretation. Not drama, but rather real interpretation.

Zaina's Crazy Egyptian Combos incorporting Saturday movement- Short but oh so sweet
(2 Hours) Combinations in twos and threes that will be pieced together for a complete routine.

One Hour Conversation regarding Competition Preparation during Sunday Lunch
9 Hours of Instruction - $125.00 * $50.00 deposit required by May 1st to hold your space.
Intensive is limited to 15 students * No single workshops
